Valassis Uses MassTransit for DAM

Press release from the issuing company

May 26, 2004 (Arlington, VA) - Group Logic, the leading provider of network workflow products, announced today that Michigan-based Valassis, which provides marketing services such as advertising and newspaper inserts and coupons to the consumer goods and retail industries, has selected MassTransit as an integral technical component in the development of its digital asset management system.  MassTransit is the leading software product for mission-critical transfer of graphic arts files across high-speed wide area networks including the Internet. "We're creating an all digital structure that will support a real-time 100% digital workflow," explains David Rapp, Technology Research and Development Manager at Valassis. "The project will use the MassTransit tool for delivery of ads to the asset management system. It will be a component of the larger digital infrastructure."  Server-based software, MassTransit is designed to manage and accelerate the workflow process.  The software's award-winning functionality features programmable e-mail notification of file arrivals and other key events, custom web-based job tickets, bandwidth usage prioritization capabilities, enhanced security, and exportable logging and tracking of transmission data. Recently added job-ticketing and global workflow features have further simplified the management of complex digital workflows.  "My objective is to streamline the process of interacting with our clients - and MassTransit is part of that," notes Rapp.
