Press release from the issuing company

Introducing a rigid polyester cover with STATIC FREE digital runnability. Waterproof, tear and stain resistant, and FOLDABLE, this NEW product is excellent for durable menus and outdoor signage.

St. George, UT Fusion Digital Paper™ introduces 13 mil Fusion Polyester Cover, an innovative digital solution for durable menu and outdoor signage applications.

Made in the USA with a proprietary manufacturing process, 13 mil Fusion Polyester Cover runs STATIC FREE on high heat toner production digital equipment.  This unique feature avoids the usual static electricity problems common with top coated digital polyester films.  This product truly prints like paper, yet has the durability of a synthetic product.

Print finishing processes are also just like paper in that it can be immediately run on the second side or jogged, stacked, punched, and cut directly after digitally printing.  Another print finishing feature that makes 13 mil Fusion Polyester Cover unique in this category is that it is foldable.  So not only is this a rigid, durable polyester product, but also when creased and boned provides a finished product with a layflat fold.

Waterproof, tear and stain resistant, Fusion 13 mil Polyester Cover is a great choice for durable, long lasting single sheet rigid menus.  Patricia Dell, Owner/Operator of The Hog Pit NYC, told us that she was tired of her old laminated menus because, “They are tough to read due to the glare, or they scratch or split and so I was trying to find some sort of synthetic paper that I could print on.  I tried a lot of products, even matte laminates, and none of them worked.”

“We have been working on this solution for restaurants for the better part of two years,” Al Grant, Director of Sales, Marketing, and Distribution for Fusion Digital Paper™, stated.  “The product we are launching today is our third generation product, and represents improvements based on extensive in-field testing and feedback from restaurant owners.  13 mil Fusion Polyester Cover not only offers the customer a durable product, but also has a rich, velvety feel that draws customers into the printed content of the menu and yields beautiful image fidelity which makes food images pop off the page, all without sacrificing the durability and rigidity of a laminated menu.”

Dell said about the menus she produced on 13 mil Fusion Polyester Cover, “The menus are working great!  I plan to use this as my menu paper moving forward.”  She continued, “They are super easy to clean!  We just wipe them down with some diluted sanitizing solution and they are good to go.”

“Most restaurant owners tell us they are looking for a menu that will last 3-4 months,” stated Grant.  “This is due to needing to make price adjustments based on food costs, and seasonal changes to keep their menu offerings fresh.  13 mil Fusion Polyester Cover is the perfect product to allow restaurants to take advantage of the unique characteristics of digital printing, like short run printing, variable information, and lightning quick turnaround times.  Restaurant owners can print just the amount of menus they need exactly when they need them, all while avoiding the cost and time constraints of laminating.”

Talking about the success Fusion Digital Paper™ has had during the trial period for this product, Grant expressed, “We’ve had the full range of happy customers using our menu paper, from family to five star restaurants.  Chefs and restaurant owners are fun to talk to; it’s always great when you get the chance to work with creative, energetic people who are really interested it producing a quality, unique experience for their patrons.”

Fusion Digital Paper™ has additional products that allow restaurant owners to maximize their creativity and marketing skills.  These products allow restaurant owners to easily create repositionable wall graphics and signage; clear and white window clings; lightweight waterproof, tear and stain resistant paper for saddle stitched menus, wine lists, and placemats.  These digital products can be produced in-house with the right digital equipment, or through the help of a local printer or copy shop.  “By using Fusion Digital Paper’s™ wide range of products, restaurants can truly unleash all their marketing ideas,” Al Grant concluded.
