Press release from the issuing company

Prestigious award recognizes the company’s innovations in production inkjet printing

MELVILLE, N.Y. – Canon Solutions America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., today announced that it was voted the number one “Company to Watch” by attendees of the Inkjet Summit 2015, held April 27-29 in Ponte Verde, Florida. The highly regarded industry award was presented to Canon Solutions America’s Production Print Solutions division, which received the same honor during the inaugural Inkjet Summit in 2013. Voted on by attendees, the Inkjet Summit’s most prestigious accolade is given to a single organization each year during the Awards Dinner on the final night of the event.

“We take great pride in this honor as it once again comes at a critical point in the evolution of inkjet,” said Mal Baboyian, executive vice president, Large Format Solutions and Production Print Solutions, Canon Solutions America. “This award signifies our commitment to staying at the forefront of the production inkjet movement and introducing new technology that will help shape the industry.”

Now in its third year, the invitation-only Inkjet Summit hosted senior leaders and business executives looking to gain a deeper understanding of inkjet technology, software and solutions, and how they will impact future business and investment decisions. During the three-day event, guests had the opportunity to hear from industry experts and leaders in digital printing through a series of keynotes, panel discussions, and case studies centered around new and emerging inkjet technologies.

Serving as a keynote sponsor, Canon Solutions America focused heavily on education and networking opportunities during the summit, which included a series of one-on-one meetings with attendees and interactive speaking sessions highlighting the company’s advancements in inkjet. Demonstrating its thought leadership on inkjet technologies, the company presented eight case studies across four major industry segments: Transaction/Transpromo, Direct Mail/Marketing, Books, and General Commercial Print.

“The wealth of information that Canon Solutions America shared was extremely valuable and gave us unique insight into the development of inkjet,” said Mark DeBoer, director of Customer Experience, Darwill. “We look forward to growing with Canon Solutions America as the inkjet revolution continues to rise.”

“As inkjet continues to gain momentum, we wanted to give guests a valuable and educational experience when meeting with us and ensure they walked away with potential investment strategies and solutions that will help them best prepare for the future,” said Baboyian. “We take the Inkjet Summit very seriously and fully support other events like it, as the need for print providers to evolve with these new trends and technologies is more apparent than ever.”

Designed to meet the needs of both attendees and sponsors alike, this year’s summit also featured a Keynote Vendor Panel that brought together some of the industry’s brightest and most forward-thinking minds to discuss the power of inkjet technology and its seemingly inevitable takeover of the industry.

“Our place on the Inkjet Summit panel further strengthened our presence at this distinguished and impactful industry event,” said Francis A. McMahon, vice president, Marketing, Production Print Solutions division of Canon Solutions America. “As we do with our customers, our goal was to provide guidance to key decision makers on the importance of evaluating and utilizing inkjet solutions. It’s no secret that we are committed to offering top-line, enduring inkjet capabilities throughout the industry.”
