InterTech Technology Awards Entry Deadline

Pittsburgh, Pa., -- Printing Industries of America is seeking entries for the 2009 InterTechTM Technology Awards. These awards recognize new and innovative technologies deemed likely to have a major impact on the graphic communications industry. Technologies from all areas of the graphic arts are eligible for the InterTech Awards, including all forms of printing, packaging, newspaper, wide format/display graphics, graphic design, mailing, bindery, finishing, fulfillment, and others.

Inaugurated in 1978, the InterTech Technology Awards have become solid indicators of the top innovations in the industry. The vast majority of the 230+ recipients from around the world who have received the Award have gone on to experience commercial success in the marketplace.

Register by March 31 for special pricing
Manufacturers and developers of equipment, software, and processes that have an innovative technology that could impact the future of the graphic arts and associated industries are encouraged to complete the online registration by March 31, 2009. Those entries submitted by this date will receive special pricing for registration. Full details on submission requirements can be found at www.intertechaward.org and selecting the Suppliers-Enter a Technology link. Completed application packets must be postmarked no later than May 31, 2009.

Users can nominate technologies directly
In addition, printers and technology users are also encouraged to nominate new and innovative technologies that benefit the graphic arts industry by using the online form at www.intertechaward.org and selecting the Users-Nominate a Technology link. Nominations from all areas of the graphic arts are considered and welcomed.

The process
The submission process is simple: An application packet containing detailed information about the technology as well as testimonials from users is submitted to Printing Industries of America's Center for Technology and Research, and an independent, anonymous panel of judges review the submissions for consideration.  

InterTech Award recipients will be notified no later than July 31, 2009. Recipients of the selected technologies will receive a custom-designed award - the highly revered InterTech star as well as a number of promotional opportunities in print and online.
