BELGIUM - CMA Imaging today announces it will debut CMA Perfect Trans - the recyclable alternative to "Duratran"- style photographic media; as well as showcase its top of the line color management and proofing solutions for the sign and display market at FESPA 2015. Company executives will also present twice-daily educational sessions at the show, which takes place May 18-22 in Cologne, Germany.

FESPA attendees can meet with CMA Imaging executives and see CMA Perfect Trans, and the latest color and media solutions at Stand B90, Hall 8; and on partner Roland, Xerox, and MacTac stands during the show, at Stand Q15, Hall 6; Stand W10, Hall 9; and Stand Q61, Hall 6, respectively.

Other solutions on display include a range of inkjet press media, including CMA Backlit technology, being shown on the Xerox stand; and CMA Canvas, being shown on the Roland stand.

CMA Imaging Debuts CMA Perfect Trans Media at FESPA
FESPA attendees will be the first to see the launch of an innovative recyclable alternative to Duratran - CMA Perfect Trans. World renowned cosmetic brand Clarins is the first major brand to adopt the new substrate from CMA Imaging, classified as a recyclable alternative to "Duratran" style photographic media. CMA Perfect Trans, printed with water-based HP Latex inks, can be recycled in normal waste streams.

Clarins was in search of a silver halide and Duratran-type material; the new CMA Perfect Trans, combined with HP Latex inks, was an ideal replacement for the widely used RA4 silver Halide.

Mark Sanderson, Managing Director at CMA Imaging, says, "This media has been in the works for quite some time. Five years ago we attempted to replicate a version of RA4 silver halide film, given this is what all brands specify for lightboxes, and we've been the first to be able to meet the market requirements."

Early versions required lamination to achieve the same sort of glossy effect as a Duratran, Sanderson explained. But the advent of HP Latex Printing Technology has proven a breakthrough.

"The key was to develop a product that looked and felt like a Duratran, but was recyclable. With the new HP Latex printers the gloss level matches our substrate. It looks glossy and continuous - it just looks right."

In the Cloud with CMA ColorCloud Technology
Among other highlighted solutions being presented by CMA Imaging at FESPA is its popular ColorCloud technology, a unique cloud-based color management solution insuring ink savings, quality control, and color standardization across devices, platforms, and locations.

CMA ColorCloud users pay per click -- for each color profile -- obtaining profiles that generate highly accurate, repeatable color with superior grey balance, and eliminating the need to make significant investments in hardware or software. The company also offers an option combining ColorCloud with its nanocoated eco-solvent, as well as other, inkjet substrates.

Gerardo Cerros, CTO, CMA Imaging, says, "Our wide range of solutions fit the needs of the most demanding sign and display shops around the world. We invite FESPA attendees to 'put us to the test' and see for themselves just how holistic our approach to color is, and see how our solutions can and will work for them, as it has for top corporations the world over."

Twice-daily Educational Conferences at the FESPA HUB
Those interested in learning more about CMA Imaging solutions have the chance to see twice-daily educational sessions at the CMA-sponsored FESPA HUB.

Conferences being presented by the executives are as follows:

"Paper is a Color, Too!": How media design helps eco-solutions
CMA Imaging here presents the innovative design of media for eco-printing, combined with color quality output and ink savings. Attendees will learn how paper is considered the "fifth" color for print production, and how paper-related issues can have a significant impact on a printed product, including substrate optical brighteners (OBA).

"Color-Standardized Global Printing: Connecting Media with Brands"
This conference will educate FESPA attendees about a new platform where global brands are now able to purchase color-standardized prints on a global scale.
