Drytac announces plans for FESPA 2015

Press release from the issuing company

Bristol, UK - Drytac Europe, an international manufacturer of self-adhesive materials for the print, label and industrial markets, has announced its plans for FESPA 2015, scheduled to take place in Cologne, Germany, between 18th and 22nd May 2015.  At the event, Drytac will be showcasing its new Spot-On film with dot adhesive, alongside the expanded ranges of its ReTac permanently peelable films and Polar printable films.

Senior representatives from Drytac will be present on Stand T95 in Hall 6 throughout the five day event.

Spot On ‘dot pattern’ printable vinyl for easy application

Suitable for short-term indoor graphics applications, Spot On is 100µ (4 mil) high quality, ink receptive printable vinyl, developed specifically for the creation of vibrant graphics requiring quick and easy application and removal.

Key to the simplicity of application is a ‘dot pattern’ adhesive which allows the printable film to be easily applied – bubble free – on a wide variety of smooth interior surfaces including walls, windows, glass and more.  Once installed, the film can be repositioned and – if stored correctly – reused.

Spot On is available in clear matte, white matte and white gloss versions, and is printable by solvent, eco-solvent, HP Latex and UV inkjet techniques.  It is ideal for short-term applications such as POP and retail signage, trade show and exhibition graphics as well as office interiors.

ReTac range of ‘permanently peelable’ films

The ReTac range of permanently peelable films for wall graphics applications now includes ReTac75 Matte and ReTac150 Matte, alongside the original ReTac75 Gloss film.

ReTac75 (both gloss and matte versions) are a 75µ white polymeric PVC films, coated on one side with a pressure-sensitive permanently peelable adhesive, whereas ReTac150 (matte) is a thicker 150µ matte white polymeric PVC film developed for ease of handling and to cover up imperfections on the surface to which it is mounted.

Outperforming competing and similarly positioned ‘low residue’ products, ReTac is promoted not as low residue but as no residue.  Specifically designed for high vibrant print quality graphics, the films are easy to apply and easy to remove or move and are suitable for use on most indoor surfaces, painted walls, melamine, glass and low surface energy substrates.

ReTac film is printable by solvent, eco-solvent, HP Latex and UV inkjet techniques.  And – crucially – with its newly-awarded Class 0 Fire Rating, ReTac film is ideal for numerous applications including public areas – such as airports, hotels and hospitals – requiring compliance with strict fire regulations.

Polar range of self-adhesive printable vinyls

Drytac has also entered the digital vinyl market with the introduction of its Polar range of self-adhesive printable vinyls.  The range now includes Polar Monomeric matched component systems (MCS) films, Polar Polymeric MCS films, Polar Cast PVC films, Polar Elite Polyurethane films which offer a PVC-free alternative for vehicle wrapping, alongside the recently announced Polar HiGrab and Polar SurfaceTac films.

Suitable for medium-term indoor and outdoor graphics applications, the high quality Polar range of printable films manufactured by Drytac are matched with the company’s range of clear over-laminates.

The films are printable by solvent, eco-solvent, Latex and UV inkjet technologies and have an outdoor durability of up to 7 years, depending on the product.  The range also benefits from Class 0 fire rating, making it ideal for applications in public areas requiring compliance to strict regulations.

In addition to these new introductions, Drytac will be showing a large selection of its other solutions including DecorTac wallpapers and a variety of window films.

As well as developing new solutions for its customers, Drytac has been busy developing the market reach of its products.  With resellers recently signed up in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands, Austria, the Baltics, and Poland, the company is actively seeking out professional resale and distribution partners across the globe.

Representatives from the company will also be happy to discuss Drytac’s custom coating business, whereby the company works in partnership with third parties to develop and deliver bespoke coating solutions for specific applications - with runs starting from as few as 5000 linear metres.

Steve Broad, Sales Director for Drytac Europe, comments: “These are exciting times for Drytac Europe.  We’ve listened to our customers and invested heavily to deliver the products they are asking for, namely Spot-On ‘bubble-free’ vinyl, ReTac permanently peelable film, and the Polar range of printable vinyls that are fully matched to our protection films.

“Whilst we’ve been busy developing new product ranges, we’ve also been working tirelessly to grow our distributor base across Europe.  We’re very much looking forward to the show.”
