Kodak Integrates Callas Software Technology into PRINERGY 7

Press release from the issuing company

Berlin - The recently-released KODAK PRINERGY Workflow 7 lets users set up and monitor PDF print data processes and workflows. Kodak has now integrated the pdfToolbox technology from callas software into its workflow product. The pdfToolbox profiles expand the software’s existing validation and correction features to allow improved quality control and less manual work for the user.

KODAK PRINERGY Workflow provides intelligent pre-printing management tools for job and package printing. The software automates associated print production processes, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing both manual work and financial costs. The new version of the software further automates all essential printing functions, with pdfToolbox providing a reliable PDF foundation: an essential component during quality control and preparation.

The pdfToolbox technology is used via validation and correction profiles as part of the workflows that have been set up in PRINERGY, allowing thousands of files to be processed on a fully automated basis. The pdfToolbox technology is used by small companies, large publishing and printing houses, and callas software’s OEM customers, who have integrated the technology into their own products. Aside from validation and correction, the technology is also used for other purposes such as color management, imposition, and conversion to and from PDF, and more.

"We are proud to incorporate our PDF technology into PRINERGY Workflow, one of the industry's most popular workflow products," said Dietrich von Seggern, business development manager, callas software. "Our goal has always been to develop technology that is reliable, innovative and flexible, all key requirements for automation. We believe that the combination of a versatile client server system, KODAK PRINERGY Workflow and our pdfToolbox technology will be the right answer for many customers."
