Press release from the issuing company

The JETvarnish 3D & iFOIL team will give live demonstrations to industry craftspeople on digital methods and processes of applying spot UV varnish, embossed and foil printing effects.

MELBOURNE, FL – MGI Digital Graphic Technology will offer a special educational presentation on Digital Effects in Print Finishing and showcase the JETvarnish 3D & iFOIL at the IADD/FSEA Odyssey 2015 annual conference from May 13-15th.

The Odyssey 2015 conference is held by the International Association of Diemakers & Diecutters (IADD) and the Foiling, Stamping, Embossing Association (FSEA) every year to allow print finishing professionals to share ideas, experiences, techniques and technologies. Odyssey 2015 will be held at the Renaissance Hotel & Convention Center in Schaumburg, IL.

Attendees, members and media are welcome to view the special “History of Diemaking, Diecutting, Foiling & Stamping” exhibit that will be featured at this year’s event. Examples of print finishing craftwork – including photos, tools & samples – will be displayed from the last hundred years.

MGI will be featuring the JETvarnish 3D and iFOILproduct, which streamlines spot UV coating, embossed tactile coating and embossed foiling through a user friendly fully digital process that requires no screens or dies, no minimum runs, and  can support Variable Data applications to produce eye-catching, luxurious-feeling 3D foil & embossed finished effects.

MGI’s creative enhancement options can help graphic artists & printers utilize their years of craft experience to offer dynamic new digital finishing designs, features and formats.
