Press release from the issuing company

Company to demonstrate innovative products and solutions at the 33rd annual gathering of leaders in the package printing and converting industry

Itasca, IL - Xeikon, an innovator in digital color printing technology, announced that it is a Gold sponsor of INFO*FLEX 2015, one of the largest gatherings of package printing and converting professionals.

The event takes place May 4-5, 2015 at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee. It is held in conjunction with the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) Forum, running May 3-6 at the Omni in Nashville.

At Xeikon's display in booth #738, the company will demonstrate its innovative digital printing as well as digital platemaking solutions. "The INFO*FLEX event is one of the premier meeting of the minds in the industry," said Todd Blumsack, ‎vice president of sales and marketing at Xeikon America, Inc. "Every job function and industry segment is represented at the event. Hence, it's a perfect opportunity for us to interact with packaging printers from North America and discuss how our solutions can help their business."

The Xeikon 3000 Series represents the broadest range of label and packaging presses available on the market today. All the presses are based on full-rotary printing technology, with variable repeat length, and have an imaging resolution of true 1200x3600 dpi. Press speeds are not affected by label size and/or the number of colors used. The presses come in two different web widths (20.3 and 13 inches) and three different speeds. In addition, entry-level models can be upgraded to higher capacity options in the field.

At Labelexpo 2014, Xeikon also announced the launch of Xeikon Cheetah, the fastest digital color press in its portfolio. The Xeikon Cheetah has a top speed of 98 feet/min and is dedicated solely to the production of pressure sensitive labels. It offers all the renowned benefits that make the Xeikon 3000 Series unique, including the use of dry toners that meet FDA regulations for food contact and the ability to print opaque white toner in one pass. It also enables printing on a variety of heat-sensitive substrates due to incorporation of Xeikon's ICE toner technology which requires a much lower fusing temperature than typical toner-based presses. Dry toner imaging also enables the use of conventional substrates that do not have to be pre-treated. Extremely high toner lightfastness and truly eco-friendly printing (no VOCs) are some of the other industry leading features of Xeikon presses.

Under its ThermoFlexX brand, Xeikon produces high quality, modular and open solutions for digital imaging of flexographic & letterpress plates. ThermoFlexX product family includes six models, with imaging sizes ranging from 18 inches to 80 inches wide.

Each ergonomically designed unit offers the choice to image from any 1 bit tiff workflow at a variety of resolutions. Users can tailor plate imaging precisely to their needs by selecting the most suitable resolution. This includes the ability to image archived files at 2100dpi, 2400dpi and 2540dpi, or utilizing the multiple RIP options to optimize resolution up to 5080dpi.
