Press release from the issuing company

ARLINGTON, Va. (May 7, 2004) — The 2004 Print Oasis Print Buyers Conference & Expo, hosted by Print Buyers Online.com, enjoyed great success last month, offering attendees and exhibitors alike critical information on the latest trends and issues facing the industry as well as rare educational opportunities. “I’ve been in this business for 25 years and whenever I come to this conference, it’s like getting a booster shot,” quipped Jane Knaus, creative services director at Montgomery College in Rockville, Md. The more than 350 attendees flocked to 19 individual seminars and panel discussions over the course of the four-day conference, which was held at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood, Fla. on April 18 – 21. “I was very pleased by both the number of exhibitors we had as well as the number of attendees at the conference,” Commented Suzanne Morgan, founder of Print Buyers Online.com and the Print Oasis Conference. “This is the only independent conference dedicated to print buyers and we strive to provide them with not only the information and education they need, but also with access to others in the industry who are working in the same capacity. This conference has grown each year and I think it’s a testament to what we’re uniquely able to provide.” “Nowhere else can you have such open and direct communications with other print buyers and production managers and get to share successes and problems, learn new and better methods of working and get caught up in the world of print and paper,” added Linda Dickinson, director of print production and purchasing for Meridian Communications in Lexington, Ky. The 2004 Print Oasis Conference gave attendees an opportunity to hear from industry experts as well as learn about new technologies and practical business solutions. “I would challenge any print buyer to try to find a better way to gain valuable information, learn about new technologies and industry updates, network with fellow print buyers and visit with essential exhibitors,” said Debbie Kipp, vice president and production manager, Stobie Group. “Print Oasis continues to be the premiere conference for print production professionals…and it’s a great value.” Print Oasis is the only independent conference focused on the needs and challenges of print buyers, specifiers and production professionals and featured more than 50 exhibitors, including printers, proofing companies, major technology firms and paper manufacturers. “We think Print Buyers Online.com is a great e-community and that it provides a great service for print buyers,” explained Brad Lena, Daniels Marketing Support Services, a Print Oasis exhibitor. “We’re delighted to have been there.” The nearly 20 seminars and panel discussions included topics such as: • The Changing Face of Printing, with Paul Reilly of Cenveo (formerly Mail-Well) • Is Print Worth Buying? – hosted by Dr. Joe Webb • Trends in Print Buying – the latest updates and research from Print Buyers Online.com, from Suzanne Morgan of Print Buyers Online.com • Evaluating Cost Beyond the Invoice - with Dick Gorelick, of the Graphic Arts Sales Foundation • How to Create Value in Your Organization – with I.O.
