Press release from the issuing company

MGI Digital Graphic Technology and Konica Minoltaannounce the preview of the JETVarnish 3DS to the Canadian commercial printing industry at Graphics Canada 2015.

The JETvarnish 3DS is designed and manufactured by MGI & Konica Minolta to help printers expand their services to include new, amazing spot UV and 3D tactile varnishing capabilities with powerful inkjet productivity & efficiency benefits.

Graphics Canada 2015, Canada’s largest showcase for the Graphics Communications and Printing Industries, will be held April 16-18 at the Toronto International Centre (Ontario).

Designed primarily for the digital print market, the JETvarnish 3DS will make the popular 3D tactile varnish finish available to all digital printers in the market today printing on widths up to 36 cm (14"). The JETvarnish 3DS can turn regular printed jobs into high-margin spot UV jobs, or even higher margin 3D embossed jobs.

The JETvarnish 3DS has speeds up to 4,800 A3 sheets per hour in flat mode (2D) and up to 1,500 A3 sheets per hour in 3D mode. With the ability to varnish up to 100 m for 3D raised effects and tactile finishes, the JETvarnish 3DS can transform 2D flat surfaces into textured sensory experiences.

Media guests and event attendees are invited to stop by the Konica Minolta Exhibit booth (#1260) for a live demonstration of the JETvarnish 3DS.
