Kodak Versamark also emphasized workflow solutions at the exhibition with a special center dedicated to document composition and management with demonstrations of the company’s software, along with solutions from a number of software partners. This center is designed to give users a clear understanding of the range of solutions available to manage the entire document lifecycle. “We are excited to be using this international show to launch our new products as part of Kodak,” said Nachum “Homi” Shamir, president and CEO, Kodak Versamark, and vice president, Eastman Kodak Company. “As our large exhibit demonstrates, Kodak Versamark and our new parent are committed to continuing our tradition of technology innovation to provide the widest possible selection of printing solutions and options for the printing industry. I invite all attendees to visit our booth and see first hand the impact of personalization on print and hear about the value that variable data printing brings to a business.” The newest V-series system, the VX5000e, features Kodak Versamark’s latest high-resolution, print technology and is driven by the CS600 controller developed jointly with EFI (formerly Electronics For Imaging). The CS600 delivers fully integrated color management and support for multiple data streams. The VX5000e delivers a print resolution comparable to 1200 drops per inch and runs at speeds up to 100 mpm (325 fpm) with a throughput of over 1400 impressions per minute. This latest enhancement to the V-series printing systems is targeted for high-volume, digital color document production. For imprinting applications, Kodak Versamark demonstrated several products in the D-series, spotlighting the latest product, the DS4350 UV printing system. The system provides printing capability on a wide range of substrates, including almost all paper substrates as well as plastic, flexible packaging and paperboard, at resolutions up to 300 x 600 drops per inch (dpi). The new product is targeted to those markets that have been underserved by water-based inks. High volume commercial printers can also find variable imaging performed by a Kodak Versamark DS9100 printing system integrated in-line with an offset press. This application highlights the ease of integration of variable imaging into existing printing processes. Several other products highlighted during the conference reinforced the company’s mission to be a world’s leading supplier of digital printing solutions by providing users a choice of entries into digital printing and capital preservation through modularity and upgradeability, hallmarks of Kodak Versamark printing solutions. From the monochrome only VJ1000 printing system to the wide range of VT3000 configurations to the versatility of the D-series printers and printing systems, Kodak Versamark is committed to its customers’ success by providing the right-size solution for today with a growth path for tomorrow. Kodak Versamark, Inc. is in Hall 5, Booth B24.
