Swiss print shop places major order with Heidelberg

Ostschweiz Druck AG in Wittenbach, Switzerland, has signed a big order with Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg). From summer this year, a Speedmaster XL 106-6+L, a Speedmaster XL 106-4-P+L, a Suprasetter 106 CtP platesetter, and a Polar N 137 AT Pace Autoturn high-speed cutter will be installed at the print shop. This represents the largest investment in the company’s history. “We see this major order as a milestone in our further development. The latest-generation equipment will enable us to offer our customers an even better range and an even faster service,” stresses Rino Frei, owner and managing director of Ostschweiz Druck AG. “All the equipment also benefits from the Heidelberg service portfolio, which we see as another important part of the package to ensure smooth and reliable production,” he adds.

Ostschweiz Druck AG is a family business with a workforce of 65 and sales of 16 million Swiss francs. The print shop operates three shifts and produces all kinds of commercial products, including magazines, catalogs, brochures, and flyers. The average run length is just under 7,000 sheets per job and the main customer base is in Switzerland.
