RPI Issued Patent Continuation for Technology Behind its Industry-leading Production and Ordering System

Press release from the issuing company

SEATTLE - RPI, providers of personalized print services for businesses around the world, today announced that it has been granted a continuation in part (CIP) to its patent for the company’s state-of-the-art technology used in the production system in its Seattle facility.

The patent now claims the company’s Universal Ordering System (UOS), which enables RPI to route customer orders to any of its production facilities or production partners. The system improves speed and efficiency in RPI’s production processes for customized print products as well as other methods of production.

This CIP extends the company’s original patent, which was issued in 2012.

“No one else is doing this in the print production business,” said Rick Bellamy, RPI’s chief executive officer. “By investing in technology and protecting that technology with patents, we can bring unique technical innovation to the market and help our customers improve efficiency and profitability.”
