Press release from the issuing company

NPES, Printing Industries of America, and Industry Association Allies Join Forces to Advocate for Printers and Suppliers at June Event

Reston, VA – Members of event co-hosts NPES and Printing Industries of America, together with key supporting associations and their members will convene in Washington, D.C., June 2-3, 2015, for PRINT'S VOICE 15, where they will bring graphic communications industry business concerns directly to their elected representatives in Congress. For program and registration information, visit: printsvoice.org.

During this 5th annual PRINT'S VOICE Capitol Hill Fly-In participants will advocate for:

  1. restructuring and revitalizing the U.S. Postal System, and the importance of paper;
  2. preserving pro-growth business tax policy;
  3. strengthening U.S. exporters' competitiveness in international trade;
  4. curtailing abusive "patent troll" practices; and,
  5. reducing burdensome government over-regulation in the manufacturing workplace.

Returning this year as an Executive Level Sponsor of the Fly-In, the National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers (NAPIM) will be joined in supporting the event by Epicomm, another Executive Sponsor of the event.

Newly introduced this year, for other organizations that are seeking to demonstrate their support for the industry's policy and political advocacy efforts of PRINT'S VOICE 15, are three levels of sponsorship opportunities. Sponsorship of PRINT'S VOICE 15 provides a tremendous opportunity for industry organizations to raise their visibility among Federal lawmakers and other key policy makers, as well as event participants. Information about the three sponsorship levels—Presidential, Congressional, and Executive—can be found at: printsvoice.org/prints-voice-15-sponsorship-packages/.

Also new for 2015, and based on the growing attendance at this annual industry advocacy event, will be a PRINT'S VOICE 15 Host Committee, designed to welcome first-time Fly-In participants, which includes: Ron Rose, President, Nova Pressroom Products, LLC; Bradley L. Thompson, II, President & CEO, Inland Press; Robert E. Murphy, Chairman, Japs-Olson Company; Todd Blumsack, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Xeikon North America; Lloyd Moss, Vice President-Premier Client Solutions, Window Book Inc.; Erich Midlik, Executive Vice President, Prime UV Systems Inc., and, Greg Salzman, President, Aleyant Systems.

PRINT'S VOICE 15 is an industry responsibility to reach out to our congressional representatives on issues of concern to the printing industry," says NPES Government Affairs Chairman Ron Rose, President, Nova Pressroom Products, Inc. "We urge NPES, Printing Industries of America, NAPIM and Epicomm members to join us as we speak directly to our elected officials and hear from political and policy experts on issues vital to our businesses and our employees' livelihoods," continues Rose.

"With crucial issues, such as postal reform, that are of huge importance to our members and their customers, it's imperative for our industry to weigh in with the information legislators need to make informed decisions," states NPES President Ralph Nappi. "In fact, NPES believes this program to be so important that our Board will, again this year, meet in conjunction with the Fly-In," continues Nappi.

"These face-to-face discussions with their constituents are the most effective way of getting the message across to lawmakers," adds NPES Government Affairs Director Mark Nuzzaco.

The agenda for PRINT'S VOICE 15 includes a Tuesday welcome luncheon and afternoon issue briefings by invited Members of Congress and Washington, D.C.-based policy experts. The day continues with a bi-partisan Congressional Reception followed by a Gala Congressional Dinner that will wrap-up the first day of the Fly-in. The program will resume Wednesday morning on the "Senate side" of Capitol Hill with a breakfast featuring Senate Speakers, followed by congressional office visits, a luncheon, and more office visits for the remainder of the afternoon with the Fly-In concluding at 4:30 p.m.
