Standard Press Adds Third Komori Press with H-UV™ Capabilities

The six-color Komori Lithrone with H-UV meets company’s goals for advanced efficiencies

Rolling Meadows, IL - Komori America Corporation, a premier manufacturer of printing solutions, today announced that family-owned Standard Press, located in Atlanta since 1932, has recently installed a 40-inch, six-color Komori Lithrone press with coater (GL640C) equipped with Komori’s proprietary H-UV™ system.  Standard Press services a variety of clients that include Fortune 500 companies, universities and advertising agencies. The full-service commercial printer has built a strong reputation on providing both high quality work as well as exceptional customer service. The addition of the new Komori press underscores Standard Press’ commitment to answer customer requirements for dramatic special effects as well as cross platform compatibility with H-UV and conventional inks and coatings.

Komori’s H-UV system is an innovative curing system designed to improve overall pressroom efficiency with a drying process so fast, sheets can be sent to the finishing department direct from the press delivery, significantly speeding time to market. With just one lamp mounted in the delivery, the system offers high print quality and reliability, as well as excellent economics and eco-friendly performance. Other key features of the new press include fully automated makeready and plate changing to support the company’s goal to achieve a higher level of efficiency through faster makeready time and less waste.
