First major order for Heidelberg at drupa, M 600 to be delivered to Prague

Press release from the issuing company

May 6, 2004 -- The first major order at drupa in Dusseldorf was placed with Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) shortly after the industry trade show opened. An M 600 web offset press worth several million Euros is to be supplied to Reproprint in Prague. Two JF-50 folders are also to be shipped with the press, which is fitted four double printing units. Reproprint will utilize the new configuration first and foremost to print catalogs, magazines and advertising supplements. "We have completely reworked one of the most reliable and versatile web offset presses of all time to enable faster production speeds, shorter makeready times and a lower amount of waste," explained Werner Albrecht, Head of Heidelberg Web Systems. "The new functions and features make the M-600 easier to operate, deliver virtually sheetfed quality and are ideal for cost-effective printing in environments with long makeready times for job runs well under the 10,000 mark."
