Oce introduces VarioPrint 2110

Press release from the issuing company

Venlo, 6 May 2004 — Oce today announced the introduction of its versatile Océ VarioPrint 2110. The system, which produces at 105 prints per minute, provides printing, copying and scan-to-file. Designed especially for commercial and corporate printrooms, the Océ VarioPrint 2110 offers advanced functionality: tab printing, oversized printing, mixed-stock processing, the ability to interpose post process colour inserts from all paper trays and more. Fulfilling complex printing requirements Jan Henk Bokma, International Product Manager for the Océ VarioPrint 2110, says the system was developed to respond to the specific needs of professional mid production environments. 'We know that our customers count on providing exceptional quality, service and value to their customers', he says. 'The Océ VarioPrint 2110 allows a print provider to give his or her customers the professionalism they require, even when handling short runs of complex jobs that mix analogue and digital documents, for example. But the system is also designed to efficiently produce long runs of more straightforward jobs. And it produces all jobs with unmatched ease of use, cost-efficiency and total productivity.' Based on the Océ Productivity Equation Océ says it based the Océ VarioPrint 2110 on its overall Productivity Equation. 'Total printing productivity is the sum of all printer and workflow software performance characteristics', says Bokma. 'That's the idea behind the Océ Productivity Equation. We combined ease of use, reliability, throughput, applications and workflow to produce a system that ensures the best possible total performance on virtually any media. For example, our intuitive user interface in combination with the customer programmable Media Catalogue is both unique and best in class, preventing users from making costly programming mistakes and ensuring maximum productivity. And advanced featuring such as tab printing, easy interposing of post process colour pages and inline finishing—booklet making, binding, etc—all occur at full engine speed.' Advanced software provides even more control The Océ VarioPrint 2110 is designed to work with Océ Doc Works and other Océ PRISMA software to provide users with more control over document workflow. Among other things, these software enable: Workflow control from web-submission through finishing (Océ Doc Works) Device independent document preparation, preview Proof, archiving or CD/DVD publishing (Océ Doc Works) Access to a flexible and secure ready-to-print archive, web accessible by customers (Océ DocumentManager) Enhanced document scanning and make-ready, with automatic deskewing, despeckling and registration (Océ DocSetter) Improved order-to-cash process with price quotation, low-res preview proof, pre-flight, online document catalogues and variable data printing (Océ PRISMAweb)
