New white paper examines key areas organizations need to understand before implementing PDF/UAs to serve visually-impaired customers

Toronto, ON – Crawford Technologies is proud to announce the release of a new PDF/UA white paper, the first of its kind to outline key areas organizations need to look at before implementing PDF/UA technology to serve transaction documents to visually-impaired customers. PDF/UA is the new universally-accepted standard for accessible PDF, defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

"We developed this white paper to address a need in the market for more information on Accessible PDF as organizations are putting their accessibility strategies in place," said Ernie Crawford, President of Crawford Technologies. "Market leaders in many segments have implemented an Accessible PDF solution, and other organizations are in need of this information so they can follow suit, and this white paper addresses many of their questions."

The white paper is meant for technical and non-technical audiences alike. It covers a wide range of topics such as accessibility legislation, accessibility standards, accessible document creation methods and best practices. The white paper also features a comparison of processing speed and storage space of accessible and normal PDF.
