Charlotte, North Carolina - Global anilox roll supplier Harper Corporation of America prides itself on staying actively engaged in the flexographic industry and promoting excellence and education in the field. The company was honored to sponsor and present the Combination Printing award at the 2014 FlexoTech International Print & Innovations Awards, held October 23, 2014 at the Hilton London Metropole in London, England. 

The Combination Printing award was presented by Gerry O’Hanlon, Harper Corporation’s National Sales Manager wide web, and was in recognition of a company using the flexo process as well as two or more other printing or decorating processes to create a high quality print. Entries were judged not only on print quality, but also reproduction and degree of difficulty. This year’s winner of the Combination Printing award was Uniflex CJSC for Schoco Fru Chocolate Milk. The judges noted that it was “a truly innovative sample with very high screen ruling with vignettes disappearing to nothing and incorporating a novel holographic dot pattern and a spot high gloss varnish.”

“Harper’s philosophy was to promote education in our industry. They did that in many different ways. One way to sponsor events such as this, so it is very important for us and we want to be a proud sponsor of this event for many years to come,” says O’Hanlon. Harper has a large presence throughout the United States and these types of events allow it to expand its international reach throughout the market. It was also a wonderful opportunity to network with leaders in many different facets of the field and gain insight into emerging trends.
