‘Tau LFS 330 Implementation at TLF Graphics Really Beginning to Take Hold’

ROCHESTER, New York – TLF Graphics, a major full-service producer of labels, labeling systems, decals and related products and services, is featured in a video highlighting the integration of its new Durst Tau LFS 330 UV Inkjet Digital Label Press into its operations.

In the video, Bob McJury, TLF Graphics’ Vice President for Sales & Service, explains that the company had been planning to upgrade some of its existing toner-based equipment – but postponed that plan after attending LabelExpo ’14 in Chicago and seeing the Tau LFS 330.  He and his team were “blown away” by its capabilities, he says.  “It’s a game changer for us.  It absolutely fits the market we serve perfectly.”

McJury says over time, the company intends to transition 40 percent of its screen printing work to the Tau.  “The Tau LFS 330’s implementation at TLF Graphics is really beginning to take hold,” he says.

The full video – featuring an overview of TLF Graphics, comments from McJury and additional insights into how digital presses are transforming the durable labels market – is accessible via this link.

Tau LFS 330

Durst’s Tau LFS 330 integrates a new in-line digital laser finishing system into the Tau 330, incorporating state-of-the-art laser die cutting technology from Spartanics and a powerful 1,000-watt laser that delivers precise speed matching, automatic job changeovers and a significant reduction in waste.  This permits the management of multiple jobs in a single pass and virtually uninterrupted printing for previously unattainable productivity.

While delivering high image quality output in a total digital end-to-end workflow, the Tau LFS 330 also achieves superior print and cut quality on a broad range of substrates – papers, films, polyester, polycarbonates, metalized material and more.  It offers high flexibility in terms of cutting applications – including kiss, through, perforate, engrave, mark and score.  UV coating, lamination and slitting options can be added to the system for more finishing versatility.
