Our mills are in rural areas and offer among the highest paying jobs in their communities. Recent investments are bringing declines in emissions without this new unwarranted ozone proposal.”

“The 2008 standards have not been fully implemented, leaving any resulting air quality benefits unknown, yet the agency is already and again moving the goal posts by tightening standards to scientifically unsupported levels. They are looking at the same science that was used to set the 2008 levels; nothing significant has changed since that time. EPA and states should focus on completing the steps from the previous tightening before piling on another job-threatening compliance investment that will yield little return.”
