CHROMiX Contributes Color Management System to RIT

Press release from the issuing company

May 4, 2004 -- CHROMiX, a provider of technical services and products to businesses in content-production industries, is contributing to the latest enhancements within the print media program at Rochester Institute of Technology. The company is providing licenses of ColorThink to RIT’s School of Print Media. This system is a new generation of profile inspection and application utilities that is capable of transforming color data into easy-to-grasp 3D graphs using the latest Mac OS platform. “Both faculty and students are benefiting greatly from CHROMiX’s generous donation,” says Robert Chung, Gravure Research Professor in RIT’s School of Print Media. “It offers students hands-on opportunities during the course of their curriculum, which has made learning color management more fun.” Internationally recognized as a leader in computing, imaging technology, fine and applied arts, and education of the deaf, Rochester Institute of Technology enrolls 15,300 full- and part-time students in more than 340 career-oriented and professional programs. RIT’s School of Print Media, considered among the best in its field in the world, offers programs in graphic media, printing systems, and traditional and electronic publishing.
