Group Logic Announces the Release of MassTransit 4.5

May 4, 2004 (Arlington, VA) - Group Logic, developer of market leading network workflow products, announced today the availability of MassTransit 4.5. This latest, free upgrade of the company's most popular product boasts improvements to the software's automated workflow capabilities, as well as added job-ticketing and administrative features that streamline the management of digital file transfer workflows. "Customer demand continues to drive the advancement of our MassTransit platform," said Andy Lewis, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Group Logic. "Many of the new features in 4.5 originated from specific customer needs and have been designed to increase our customers, ability to tailor the product to the individual requirements of their workflows. In addition, we've focused on simplifying the management and administration functions of the product to provide greater ease of use and flexibility." Key new features in MassTransit 4.5 include: - Custom HTML Web-Based Job Tickets. Provides unique job tickets to each web client user, allowing customized job ticket information to reflect specific user's/customer's needs. - New Store-and-Forward Features. Provides "multi-hop forwarding" and "automatic forwarding" functions to automatically route transferred files through multiple servers and allow for added workflow and security configuration. Improves MassTransit's ability to securely support global file transfer workflows. - Improved Server Management & Usage. Provides ease of use enhancements, including global settings for mailbox locations, automatic configuration of address book entries, automated retries on failures of some operations, and support for Apple's Rendezvous service discovery protocol. - Security Enhancement Features. Builds on the support for SSL-based encryption and authentication introduced in the 4.1 release, providing support for FTP-based drop-boxes and black-listing of FTP clients. MassTransit is fully compatible with both the Mac OS X and Windows platforms. It is the solution of choice among businesses that buy or provide graphic arts and printing services, including corporations, publishers, printers, prepress companies and advertising agencies. In North America, 12 of the top 15 printers use MassTransit for transferring files between plants as well as to and from customer sites. MassTransit 4.5 is a free upgrade to customers that own MassTransit 4.2 (on Mac OS X) and MassTransit 4.0 or later (on Windows) and who have an active support contract. Customers using prior releases can gain the benefits of 4.5 through a paid upgrade. Mac OS 9 users may still obtain upgrades to MassTransit 4.1.4, as Group Logic will continue its support for the Mac OS 9 and Windows NT 4 versions of MassTransit through the end of 2004.
