NewField IT Announces ISO 14001 Certification for Environmental Management

Following their awards for Quality Standards ISO 9001, and Information Security Management ISO 27001, the latest ISO 14001 award confirms NewField IT’s environmental management credentials.

James Duckenfield, Managing Director NewField IT UK considers the new award long overdue, recognizing NewField IT’s environmental focus. “Our business has always had a strong focus on improving environmental impact both internally and for our clients. Our toolsets have prominent environmental impact areas with carefully constructed calculations” says Duckenfield. He goes on to say “We always had our focus on data security (ISO 27001) and process standards (ISO 9001) ensuring we provided the best service possible to our customers, but now felt it time to have our environmental efforts recognised too.”

Duckenfield points out “NewField IT has long standing partnerships with charities and sustainability projects, and our own office fully embraces the idea of paperless workflows, recycling of paper, plastic, even teabags.” NewField IT’s new office employs environmentally friendly technology and practices such as motion controlled lighting turning, Follow me / secure document release print policies to reduce print, advanced collaboration technology to reduce travel, complete move to electronic records management; removing all filing cabinets, and extensive recycling. 

The ISO 14001 accreditation confirms NewField IT’s serious dedication to environmental issues with the software and services they provide their customers, and within their own workplace.
