Totalpost Awarded Muller Paper Management and Handling Distributor Rights

Press release from the issuing company

Totalpost Services Plc is pleased to announce that they have become exclusive UK and Ireland distributors of Muller flexible paper handling solutions. This German based firm has developed an exceptional line of inserters and, paper processing systems. The distributorship has been awarded as part of plans by Totalpost to significantly grow its presence in the high end paper management market having just announced its acquisition of Mailing and Mechanisation UK Ltd.

This partnership will enable Totalpost to provide an even wider range of document and mail handling automation products. The Muller range is particularly suited to paper management and handling within major councils, banks and mailing houses.

This equipment coupled with other paper management equipment in Totalpost’s range such as Ricoh, will enable the company to offer a complete print to mail solutions from mailing house (letter shops) through to data centres. In larger print scenarios a system could be built to handle large print outputs from reel or two sheet printing setups with the same efficient result of gaining a simple print to post system.

Muller began business in Germany in 1965 manufacturing high quality paper guillotines which were recognised as the best of breed product in the industry. Manufacturing was then extended to include modular insertion systems and also input and output stations which could be added on an OEM basis to other document handling systems.

Muller has recently moved into a massive new, state-of-the-art manufacturing complex near Munich. Here they have re-engineered and extended their equipment line to increase the specifications available and further improve the engineering quality. Additionally this has enabled them to build and extend a superb demonstration centre which allows for customer visits, acceptance tests and open days to show the range and capabilities. This will enable them to strengthen partnership relations with their present and newly appointed distributors.

This partnership with Totalpost came about as a development of a previous business relationship between Muller, and Mail & Mechanisation, which is now owned by Totalpost. The agreement has been welcomed by all parties involved as it will allow new impetus to be brought to marketing this quality modular, competitive range of equipment to the UK medium to high volume print management and insertion market.

Speaking about the deal, Managing Director of Totalpost, David Hymers says: “We are delighted to add the Muller range of flexible paper management solutions to our product range and I am excited about the new opportunities that this will bring to customers of both Totalpost and Mailing and Mechanisation.”
