Notebook Eataly Featuring Smemo: Favini's Crush Makes the Cover

Press release from the issuing company

CRUSH Favini, the innovative eco-friendly paper made using process residues from organic products, has been selected by Smemoranda for use in the first Eataly Smemoranda branded NOTEBOOK.

The cover of this new NOTEBOOK has been made using Favini's CRUSH paper, the first range of eco-friendly papers that replaces up to 15% of virgin tree pulp with residues of citrus, corn, kiwi fruits, olives, almonds, hazelnuts, coffee, lavender and cherries.

Made entirely in Italy by Smemoranda, the NOTEBOOK made its debut on 16 December at 5:30pm on the Eataly Smeraldo stage in Milan. It was presented by Nicola Farinetti, Nico Colonna and Gino & Michele, along with the comedic singers Duo Idea from the Italian TV show Zelig.

This first product which came out of Eataly Feat. Smemo is part of a line of products that emphasizes the creativity and values, that have always been a part of both Eataly and Smemoranda. Available in a range of colours and formats, the NOTEBOOK features an ecological cover made with Favini's CRUSH, the elements of each material are visible on the surface, giving the product both personality and character.

Dedicated to all who love to write, read and take notes while fully respecting nature, the NOTEBOOK is available at Eataly locations throughout the world and in Coop bookstores in Italy.

Michele Posocco, Brand Manager for Favini, said: “We are truly proud that two brand leaders, in terms of creativity and culinary excellence, have selected our CRUSH papers. This recognition of our product elevates process residues to the level of other raw materials, saving up to 15% of virgin tree pulp, while fully embracing the green philosophy and youthful spirit of the project”.
