ORIS Certified Proof 1.1 Aims at Wider Market

Press release from the issuing company

Hainburg, Germany (April 26, 2004) -- As part of its ORIS Global Proofing initiative, CGS Publishing Technologies International will introduce a cross-platform version of its proof quality control system at Drupa 2004. ORIS Certified Proof 1.1, which provides simple, measurement-based verification of any proof, will be available for both Windows and Mac OS X. “The need for simple proof checking is critical in Mac-dominated design firms, perhaps even more than in traditional prepress companies,” said CGS’ head of sales and marketing, Trevor Haworth. “By releasing on both platforms, we are providing tools to verify proof accuracy at any point in the design-to-print process.” Other enhancements in the 1.1 upgrade include improved data trend tracking capabilities, allowing users to easily detect output problems before they become acute, as well as better visual representation of measurement values. Support for the X-Rite DTP41 has been added. ORIS Certified Proof includes an easy-to-use software module, an Eye-One measurement device, and a Dymo printer for creating certification labels.
