American Forest & Paper Association Releases October 2014 Kraft Paper Sector Report

WASHINGTON - The American Forest & Paper Association released its October 2014 Kraft Paper Report on Nov. 17.
Total Kraft paper shipments were 125.2 thousand tons, 1.2 percent lower than last month. Bleached Kraft paper shipments decreased from 11.4 thousand tons in September to 8.7 in October, while unbleached Kraft paper shipments increased from 115.3 thousand tons to 116.5. Overall, shipments for the first ten months of 2014 were 3.2 percent lower than the same period last year. Total month-end inventories decreased 15.2 percent compared to September.
