Impika Expands Distribution in Asian Print Market

Press release from the issuing company

Impika’s high-speed inkjet portfolio available through reseller partners

SHANGHAI – Impika, a Xerox company, is strengthening its presence in Asia by building a network of resellers to sell its production inkjet printers for the growing demand for book printing, direct mail, catalogs, brochures, invoices and financial statements. According to research from trade association NPES, China will be the largest print market in the world by 2017, growing five times faster than any other region1.

Impika and its partners are positioned to capitalize on this rapid growth and fulfill unmet market needs for customers interested in producing low- to high-volumes of black-and-white or color print jobs.

Infotech Group Limited, Syntax Technology Co. Limited, Loxley Public Company Limited and JCI Applications Pte Limited will immediately market, sell and service the full portfolio of Impika's inkjet printing solutions. Impika’s aqueous inkjet solutions offer significant flexibility and scalability, meaning customers can print on a variety of paper types, at a range of speeds and using different image quality, all depending on their specific page volume and print job needs.

“The Asia Pacific print market – China, Japan and Australia specifically – is poised for massive growth in the next few years,” said Mark Hanley, president, I.T. Strategies. “The market is maturing as the appetite for high-end applications such as books, personalized direct mail and transpromo jobs has intersected with the advancement of inkjet technology to handle the production. Impika products hit that sweet spot of image quality, speed and substrate flexibility that print providers need to capture their piece of the opportunity.”

“Customer demand for personalized books, financial documents that weave in marketing messages and high-quality sales materials continues to increase,” said Paul Morgavi, COO, Impika. “The explosive growth of the Asian print market, particularly in China, has reached a high-speed inkjet tipping point. Impika is bringing market-leading products to China to give print providers new ways to meet the diverse needs of their customers – from commercial printers to new markets such as industrial printing, newspaper printing and security printing.”

Fuji Xerox will remain Xerox’s channel of distribution for all other document products in Asia.
