GAM Graphics and Marketing discovers new applications and 25 percent cost savings with the RICOH Pro C7110X

Press release from the issuing company

Full service marketing firm takes work in-house and offers new services to customers during beta period with new Ricoh production cutsheet technology

MALVERN, PA – Ricoh Americas Corporation today announced that GAM Graphics and Marketing, a full service marketing firm that offers comprehensive printing and fulfillment services, has successfully used the RICOH Pro C7110X five-color digital cutsheet printer to help deliver an even wider range of unique applications to their customers. Since implementing the RICOH Pro C7110X in September, GAM has experienced cost savings and has been able to expand its offerings, natively produce previously outsourced jobs and operate with unprecedented efficiency.  The RICOH Pro C7110X is the latest addition to GAM’s existing fleet of Ricoh devices, which also includes the RICOH Pro C900, C901 and C901S.

GAM is known for its next-day print services and serves more than 1300 customers in the Virginia region, and across the country. During the beta period, GAM has produced more than 500,000 impressions on the RICOH Pro C7110X.  In addition to meeting pent-up demand from customers for special types of applications, the printer has also afforded GAM’s designers more flexibility and creativity in creating eye-catching output specifically for the device.  Examples of new types of output GAM was able to produce natively using the RICOH Pro C7110X include: six-page, three-fold oversized brochures; output on dark stock, such as black calendars with white toner; and spot clear treatments on items such as tickets and gift cards with security features.

“Our customers love the quality that the RICOH Pro C7110X produces and they’re amazed the output is from a digital press,” said Nathaniel Grant, President of GAM. “The RICOH Pro C7110X does wonders on dark-colored stock. We also use it to print on linen and I’m amazed at how well the toner filled into the crevices.  Moreover, we’ve experienced cost savings of 25 percent.”

Grant continues, “Since we acquired our first Ricoh device five years ago, we’ve replaced all of our previous offset presses with Ricoh digital devices. Their consistent quality, ease of use, and impeccable output is impressive. These attributes, along with Ricoh’s great service, have helped forge a true partnership.”

The RICOH Pro C7110X is a member of the RICOH Pro C7100X series, Ricoh’s latest production cutsheet device family.  The fifth color station adds the capability for white or clear toner which can be leveraged on output such as distinctive oversize prints, POP displays, signs and other output that stands above competitors.  The RICOH Pro C7110X prints at up to 90 pages per minute (ppm) and up to 360 g/m2, and is ideal for printers who are looking to expand their application portfolio and deliver unique output to their end customers, while doing so affordably.  The series uniquely offers a feature set at a lower price point than existing options in its engine class.

“GAM exemplifies how print and marketing services providers are seizing the opportunity to serve their customers in inventive ways as the marketing and print landscape changes,” said John Fulena, Director, Production Print Business Group, Ricoh Americas Corporation. “As a long-time, repeat Ricoh customer, we knew that partnering with GAM for the beta of the RICOH Pro C7110X would open up even more application possibilities for them and their customers, and also give us valuable feedback on how the device performs in a highly-demanding, real-world environment.  Their results have been nothing short of remarkable, and demonstrate just why the RICOH Pro C7100 series is so important: it enables business growth with high performance, on a budget.”
