Inca Digital appoints new CEO

Wednesday, January 14, 2009

Press release from the issuing company

12th January 2009 – Inca Digital Printers, the inkjet printing specialist, today announces the

appointment of Dr Linda Bell as CEO with effect from 1st February 2009.

Dr Bell has a strong track record of transforming technical businesses in the industrial sector on a global scale. After gaining her DPhil(Oxon) in Inorganic Chemistry, she held senior commercial and business development roles with ICI (Imperial Chemical Industries PLC) for 17 years, managing a range of manufacturing operations and sales networks.  In 2001 she was appointed Managing Director of Servomex Group Ltd, a gas analysis instrumentation manufacturer, where she successfully transformed worldwide operations.

"Inca Digital has built an excellent reputation as developer and manufacturer of innovative inkjet printers, particularly in the UK and USA. I join at an exciting time when the company is looking to expand its global presence," says Dr Bell. "Large format printing is a growing market and we intend to remain a premier supplier. Market conditions are tough for everyone at the moment but with the support from our parent company Dainippon Screen and our ability to develop market leading technology we are in a good position. I'm really looking forward to working with Inca at an exciting time for the business."

Bill Baxter, who established the company in 2000, changes his CEO role to take on a strategic technical advisory position with Dainippon Screen, Inca's parent company. He said: "The past eight years have been absolutely fantastic for me and the business. When we started we were one of only three large format inkjet printer pioneers and very much focussed on engineering excellence. Today there are ten times that many suppliers but we have remained at the forefront by bringing bigger, better and faster models to a market which has been transformed by digital large format graphics production. As Inca enters an important new phase of expansion, the time is right for a new CEO who can bring high level commercial and operational experience to an international manufacturing business."

Commenting on the appointment, Nigel Puttergill, Inca Chairman, said: "I am delighted to welcome Linda to Inca. With her considerable expertise we are extremely well positioned to build on our solid foundations and grow our business on an international scale."
