Callprint Gets Wheels in Motion for Expansion and Recruitment Growth

Reprographics and Large format print specialist Callprint has confirmed ambitious plans to grow its business through a process of organic acquisitions and recruitment, with the intention to grow its sales to up to £25m in the next two years.
Speaking about the ambitious plans for the future, Group Managing Director, Steve Cheek, said the intention was to develop the business into providing a more, ‘rounded all-encompassing service provider, bringing in added-value services’.
“With Callprint we already have a very good business model with a fantastic reputation and 22 years’ experience, together with some excellent clients. We want to expand our locations regionally and also look at areas where we will require additional staffing.”
He added, “What we are doing is adding to a business that’s both profitable and stable, and reshaping it in an evolutionary way.”
High on the list of priorities are acquisitions, with Callprint actively looking to acquire businesses that have large format and project management capabilities, with a turnover in excess of £3m, and with room to grow.
“We are open-minded as to where these businesses are located in the UK, even if they are in a nearby location to an existing Callprint outlet, as these sites do not currently handle large-format work in a massive capacity, so this would provide complementary services to our existing offerings,” stated Steve.
One area currently being looked at for development is Liverpool, which will form an important part of the expansion plans for Callprint. The intention is to develop the Liverpool base into a large format hub for the North, where this side of the business has grown extensively in recent years. A plan to open an operation in Manchester is also being investigated.
The addition of Jupiter Visual Communications, which will become a standalone part of the business, will offer Callprint’s client’s a specialist service option, focussing on the large scale management of projects in the live events, retail, property, and sports sectors, where there are obvious synergies with Callprint’s existing operations and client base.
“Jupiter will be based out of London, Birmingham and Liverpool, and will also utilise the facilities out of our Dubai operation,” said Steve. “There will also be a strategic alliance in New York with a partner company in the USA.”
New Director Ben Moss, who recently invested in the business, added, “This will take Callprint into new markets and areas, whereas previously the business was somewhat pigeonholed, whilst also offering Jupiter’s existing clients new services of bespoke and 3D print,” added Ben.
The new team at Jupiter will consist of experienced high-level sales and project management personnel.
Speaking about the development plans, Callprint Chairman, Alan Cheek commented, “This move will take Callprint further forward, and elevate the company into being viewed as the leading one-stop service provider for large-format, digital and 3D print projects, of any size, and in all areas.”
Concluding, Steve Cheek, added, “Our expansion plans will provide a new level of service offerings to our existing clients, and will also open Callprint up to new markets and new clients, where we can expand and develop the business further.”
