Suttle-Straus Recognized As a "Best Workplace in the Americas"

Press release from the issuing company

For the fifteenth year in a row, Suttle-Straus, Waunakee based marketing solutions company, has been recognized as an industry leader. The Printing Industries of America (PIA) awarded the company for its exemplary human resources practices in its 2014 Best Workplace in the Americas (BWA) program.  Suttle-Straus was one of fifteen companies that also received the highest designation of “Best of the Best”.

“Since 2000, the Best Workplace program has recognized industry leaders throughout the U.S. and Canada from small, medium, and large firms in the graphic arts industry for their outstanding human relations practices. While this year we felt that every company that entered the competition had HR programs worthy of great pride, the Best Workplace program recognizes outstanding accomplishment,” said Jim Kyger, Assistant Vice President of Human Relations for Printing Industries of America.

Candidates were evaluated and judged by a panel of highly respected HR professionals with decades of experience. Suttle-Straus demonstrated that management practices, work-life balance, recognition and awards among several other criteria contribute to the company’s positive culture and reputation.

“Suttle-Straus is very proud to be recognized for consistently showing its employees that the company cares about their work environment, their personal and professional goals as well as the needs of the company,” said John Berthelsen, president. “We are committed to creating a desirable workplace for our team members.”

This is the tenth time that the 200 employee company has received the top tribute.
