Foxit PhantomPDF Creates and Validates PDF/A, /E, and /X Documents

Berlin, Germany – callas software today announced that Foxit® Software, a leading software provider of fast, affordable, and secure PDF solutions, integrates PDF/A, /E, and /X technology from software provider callas software GmbH into Foxit PhantomPDF Business.

PhantomPDF Business is a fast, affordable, and secure PDF solution that delivers the right features at the right price for users to generate professional looking PDF documents and forms.  It allows users to view, create, edit, comment, share, secure, organize, export, OCR, and sign PDF documents and forms.  The callas software pdfaPilot technology extends PhantomPDF Business’s capabilities by allowing users to validate and create compliant ISO standard PDF documents for archiving (A), engineering (E), and print production (X).

“We’re obviously very pleased that Foxit has chosen our technology. With over 100,000 customers, the company has a very large installation base”, said Dietrich von Seggern, Business Development Manager at callas software GmbH. “We are seeing more and more suppliers integrating PDF-based ISO standards, which proves the growing importance of these standards.”

The callas pdfaPilot Software Development Kit (SDK) is a library for standards compliant PDF and provides a fast way for developers to quickly incorporate PDF standards file validation and creation into custom workflows and solutions.  Well thought-out calls, easy installation and comprehensive documentation, including applications and source code samples for all supported environments, make it a breeze to get started on a wide range of platforms.
“The pdfaPilot is a high-performance tool that easily integrated into our development environment,” said Frank Kettenstock, Vice President of Marketing at Foxit.  “It meets all ISO standards and allows our users to quickly create and validate ISO PDF/A, /E, and /X documents.”
