The focus at SGIA will be on SpectroPad DOC. SpectroPad is the portable spectrophotometer for color management in digital large format printing. Thanks to its special characteristics, such as large 6 mm measuring aperture, it is ideal measuring device for such markets. In combination with DOC option it is state of the art in process control for digital printing. It allows checking within seconds, directly on the printer, the stability of the output. The pass / fail result will be shown on the touch screen and the operator get security already before productions starts if colors are fine. This leads to less waste and no customer complaints.

Besides SpectroPad also the leading Spectro LFP will be demonstrated. This is the most versatile color-measuring device ever! Thanks to its special characteristics it measures every kind of media, whether it be reflective or transmissive, thick or thin, high quality or structured surface, high or low resolution print and any kind of ink type.

As a result of enhanced focus on specialty printing Barbieri North America, Inc. became member of SGIA and will begin participation in SGIA’s education programs, advertising and events. At SGIA, Barbieri North America, Inc. will also announce the Barbieri Technology Centers and QBQC Tech program.

We are establishing Barbieri focused Technology Centers throughout North America; these centers will enable a higher level of support and understanding of our product offerings to perspective customers through our Tech Center Partners. Sal Passanisi, Director of Barbieri North America states; “With the importance of the Barbieri devices in the workflow, this from both a color quality and a color uniformity standpoint, we want Centers where customers can go and see what Barbieri technology can do for their bottom-line”. The Barbieri Tech Center partners will have both the LFP and SpectroPad in house, ready to prove the ROI of daily color process control, the Partners will be both promoted and benefit from Barbieri marketing and technical support.

If a customer cannot make it into a Barbieri Technology Center in their region, a “QBQC” Tech can take Barbieri to them at their shop. The “QBQC” Tech will carry a Barbieri SpectroPad with the latest M1, “QB” Barbieri Spectral core technology as well as have both the built-in Digital Output Control (DOC) and the latest in Color Uniformity tools right on the SpectroPad series II.

A list of the Technology Centers and the “QBQC” Techs will be available on the Barbieri web site shortly after SGIA, we will be announcing new Tech Centers coming on board at the SGIA show, so stop by booth #3171 and find out what “Intelligent Measuring Technology - when Color Quality counts” can mean for your business and your bottom-line.
