AF&PA Member Companies Win Six Pulp and Paper International Awards

WASHINGTON – American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) member companies  took home six 2014 Pulp and Paper International (PPI) Awards on Wednesday, October 8th in Boston. The four winning AF&PA member companies were Domtar, International Paper, Sappi Fine Paper North America and Wausau Paper. The annual PPI Awards are the only global awards for the pulp and paper industry.

“Congratulations to our AF&PA member companies on winning the 2014 PPI Awards and representing excellence in our industry,” said AF&PA President and CEO Donna Harman. “AF&PA is proud to represent our members as they work to provide quality jobs and produce products that people need in everyday life.”    
 
 Companies honored in the following categories were:

  • Global CEO of the Year Award
    John Faraci, Chairman and CEO, International Paper
  • Environmental Strategy of the Year Award
    Domtar (Windsor Mill)
  • Managing Risk and Safety Award
    Sappi Fine Paper North America
  • Tissue – Innovative Product of the Year Award
    Wausau Paper – DublNature Line
  • Bringing Paper to Life – Innovative Printing & Writing Campaign of the Year
    Domtar – Paper Fun Truck Campaign
  • Mill Manager of the Year Award
    Sappi Fine Paper North America – Mike Haws (Somerset Mill)
