Heidelberg provides drupa information service for schools and universities

Press release from the issuing company

April 21, 2004 -- At drupa 2004, which takes place from May 6 to 19, 2004 in Dusseldorf, Heidelberg will be providing a special information service for schools and universities from the print media industry. To this end, the company has set up a separate "Schools & Universities" pavilion on the outdoor exhibition area in front of Halls 1 and 2. Presentations and lectures by Heidelberg personnel will take place at various times each day and provide information about drupa innovations, Heidelberg solutions, trends in the print media industry and the company's training portfolio for anyone interested in working in the industry. In the afternoons, these presentations are reserved exclusively for teaching staff and lecturers, and will showcase activities to support teaching. The service will have an international feel and all talks and presentations will be held in English and German. Registered groups will be cared for by the relevant Heidelberg country representative in their own language. Interested institutions can register via the Heidelberg organizations in their region. This initiative from Heidelberg aims to support the range of courses on offer in the print media industry. The company cultivates contacts with print media training establishments worldwide, not least via the activities of the Print Media Academy. “With the ‘Schools & Universities’ pavilion at drupa, Heidelberg is providing visitors with an international platform for discussion and knowledge transfer", explains Dr. Klaus Spiegel, member of the Management Board of Heidelberg.
