Press release from the issuing company
Features include powerful new reporting tools to provide shop owners with valuable business-critical data
AGOURA HILLS, Calif. - SmartSoft will be previewing some exciting new print shop management tools for PressWise, the all-in-one Web-to-Print, MIS and Workflow Automation solution, at the upcoming GraphExpo 14 show in Chicago from September 28th to October 1st 2014.
The PressWise print management system is designed to help printers grow their business while eliminating touches from their workflow, through an all-in-one, cloud-based MIS and print automation platform that includes Web-to-print Storefronts, Estimating, Order Management, Production Automation, Shipping and Fulfillment, and Mail Processing.
The PressWise team will be rolling out powerful new custom reporting features that will give shop owners and production managers greater insight into their business. Management will be able to create custom reports to analyze things such as sales trends, inventory levels, staff productivity, customer order history, storefront activity, shipping and much more. They have also refined their Job Costing tools to allow for custom, exception-based job cost reporting.
“We think the most relevant information about one’s shop should be at the fingertips of business owners and key decision makers, empowering them to make the very best decisions for their business,” said Eric Wold, VP of SmartSoft, who oversees the PressWise team. “While building out reporting capabilities, such as the Job Costing reports, we have taken great care to stick to our commitment to ‘lean printing’ – rather than trying to track and report on absolutely everything, which can quickly become overwhelming and counterproductive, we have given print shop owners the ability to track what is important to them, so they can make real-time, fact-based decisions for the benefit of their business.”
SmartSoft have also been hard at work on the front end of the PressWise system, and will be showing multiple improvements to their web storefronts. A few of the improvements include:
Another new tool that will be previewed at GraphExpo is a new ad hoc job scheduling feature, which will allow PressWise users, who currently take advantage of PressWise’s queue-based system of job production, to manage and schedule specific jobs within the workflow. This exciting new feature is unique to the industry and will give workers greater control when it is necessary, without the need to manage a complex scheduling process for the majority of orders that enter the PressWise system.
