Las Vegas open house scheduled for October 22nd to showcase capabilities 

FREMONT, California - EFI™, a world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, today reported that Blue Ocean Worldwide has added another new EFI VUTEk® printer to its fleet, for a total of six printers in less than one year.
 
“Between our New York and Las Vegas locations, business is booming,” said Dave Stadler, founder and CEO of Blue Ocean Worldwide. “We have just moved into a larger location in Las Vegas and have added another new VUTEk printer to accommodate the growth.”
 
To introduce customers to its expanded superwide-format print capabilities, the company is hosting an open house event at its new Las Vegas facility on October 22nd from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m.

Blue Ocean’s VUTEk fleet now consists of:

• Four EFI VUTEk GS5000r printers, two in New York and two in Las Vegas. These five-meter roll-to-roll UV printers offer POP quality with eight color plus white printing for premium-value indoor and outdoor graphics, and the ability to switch to Fast-4™ mode with output at up to 2,800 square feet square feet per hour.

• An EFI VUTEk GS3250 hybrid roll-to-roll/flatbed printer in New York. This 3.2-meter wide flatbed and roll-to-roll UV printer extends printing capabilities with exceptional image quality, fast production speeds, and a broad color gamut. It features eight colors plus white and true 1,000 dpi print resolution at speeds of up to 2,400 square feet per hour.

• An EFI VUTEk GS3250LX LED “cool cure” hybrid roll-to-roll/flatbed printer in Las Vegas. LED curing ensures lower energy consumption and the ability to use lighter weight, heat-sensitive substrates, reducing costs in both materials and shipping with no sacrifice in quality. It also features eight colors plus white and true 1,000 dpi print resolution at speeds up to 2,400 square feet per hour.

All EFI VUTEk printers are optimized for use with the EFI Fiery RIP and print workflow technologies for the ultimate in speed, quality and productivity. Blue Ocean is currently installing the latest Fiery workflow, EFI Fiery proServer Version 6, which enhances operation even further with EFI FAST RIP (Fiery Accelerated System Technology) to process complex vector data up to ten times faster than competitive systems.
 
The new Las Vegas facility comprises 25,000 square feet and is located near the airport as well as close to hotels and casinos. The excitement surrounding Blue Ocean’s Las Vegas expansion is shared by partners Howard and Scott Weinstein. By having production locations in the Eastern and Western United States, they feel they can serve their client base in an extremely timely and cost-effective manner.

The Open House is taking place on the first day of the 2014 SGIA Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Blue Ocean is providing transportation from the Convention Center beginning at 5 PM when the show floor closes. Return transportation to area hotels will also be provided.
