AMSP/NAPL/NAQP Chapters Kick Off Fall Season of Regional Meetings

Press release from the issuing company

Association members can hear expert speakers, get the latest industry news, and network with their peers at get-togethers held in a dozen local areas around the nation.

Alexandria, Va. - AMSP/NAPL/NAQP members will be able to access the latest industry information and network with their peers in a convenient location as the association kicks off its fall season of regional meetings tomorrow. Printing, mailing, fulfillment, and marketing service providers around the country can come together at a meeting of one of 12 regional chapters of the association formed earlier this year through the merger of the Association of Marketing Service Providers, National Association for Printing Leadership, and National Association of Quick Printers.

The inaugural fall event will be held on Sept. 17 when the New England Chapter meets at the Heritage Country Club in Charlton, Mass., for a social get-together followed by a dinner meeting (pre-meeting golf is also available). Program features a panel discussion on “Selling Integrated Marketing Service in a Changing Marketplace.”

The following week, both the Philadelphia and New York Chapters will hold luncheon meetings, the former at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Philadelphia on Sept. 23 and the latter at Club 101 in New York City on Sept. 25. AMSP/NAPL/NAQP postal expert Leo Raymond will present a talk on the latest happenings at the U.S. Postal Service at both meetings.

AMSP/NAPL/NAQP Chapters (Chesapeake, Great Lakes, Great Plains, New England, New York, Northwest, Ohio Valley, Pacific, Philadelphia, Rocky Mountain, Southeast, and Southwest) cover the entire nation. “Our chapters provide a great way for members who are regional neighbors to meet, socialize, discuss common issues, and hear speakers on a wide variety of topics related to their business,” says Raymond, an AMSP/NAPL/NAQP Vice President, who oversees the national chapter network.

October meetings include a social hour and dinner meeting of the Northwest Chapter in Seattle on Oct. 2 (also featuring Raymond on the U.S.P.S.), and a luncheon meeting of the Southwest Chapter in Dallas on Oct. 10. AMSP/NAPL/NAQP Senior Vice President and sales management expert Mike Philie will discuss “the S-Factor—sales, social media, systems, silos” at the Dallas meeting. The following month, the New York Chapter will meet at Paper Mart Inc. in East Hanover, N.J., on Nov. 13.

In addition to periodic meetings, some chapters host special events. Both the New England and New York City chapters, for example, sponsored golf tournaments recently, and the Southwest Chapter will hold its annual AMSP-SW Conference next April in Arlington, Texas.

“We would encourage every AMSP/NAPL/NAQP member to speak with their local chapter officers and make plans to attend a chapter meeting in their area,” adds Raymond. “Bringing the association to members is what the chapter structure is all about.”

For a map of states covered by each chapter (members can always attend any chapter meeting even if it’s not in their company’s region), for a list of chapter contacts, or for more information on any chapter activity, please go to www.amsp.org/membership/chapters or contact Raymond at (703) 836-9200, Ext. 203, or [email protected].
