Santa Ana, CA - At Graph Expo 2014, Duplo USA Corporation will be showcasing its newest and largest range of digital print finishing solutions and producing a wide spectrum of unique applications on demand. Visitors to the booth will have the opportunity to see live workflow demonstrations highlighting complete finishing processes on the latest equipment available.

DIGITAL COLOR FINISHERS 

On exhibit for the first time at Graph Expo will be the DC-616 PRO Slitter/Cutter/Creaser. Performing up to 6 slits, 25 cuts, and 20 creases in a single pass, this all-in-one finisher trims white borders and applies creases on fold lines to prevent toner cracking on digital color documents. Offering a fully automatic setup and quick changeovers, the DC-616 PRO can finish a wide array of full-bleed digital applications including greeting cards, invitations, brochures, book covers, photos, and 24-up business cards without additional modules required.

The DC-616 PRO comes standard with the PC Controller software for easy job setup via a PC and the CCD scanner, enabling it to recall any job stored in memory simply by reading the printed barcode and automatically set up the job. The scanner also reads registration marks, correcting the sheet-by-sheet image shift and delivering accurately finished pieces every time. The DC-616 PRO also comes included with a perforation unit, which includes two manually-adjustable perforation tools, to perforate along the length of the sheet. 

Also on the show floor will be the DC-646 Integrated Folding System, which incorporates an in-line knife folder with the DC-646 to slit/cut/crease and fold documents in one pass; the DC-745 and DC-646 Slitter/Cutter/Creasers, and the DC-445 Integrated Folding System. 

SADDLE STITCHING AND BOOKLETMAKING SYSTEMS

The iSaddle System is Duplo's high-volume collating and saddle stitching system. Featuring a newly enhanced folding unit, the iSaddle System combines PC-based programming and intelligent feeding with scoring and folding technology to produce thicker, flatter booklets up to 4,500 booklets per hour. What’s more, its modular design enables users to add three-knife trimming capabilities with the optional DKT-200 Two-Knife Trimmer and gutter cutter, which can also process 2-up applications, boosting its production up to 9,000 booklets an hour. Whatever your book production requirements are, the iSaddle System delivers the automation and precision needed, on demand.   

Visitors to the booth will also be able to preview the upcoming DFS-1500 Booklet System. Incorporating the slitting and creasing functions of the DC-445 Creaser with the stapling, folding, and trimming capabilities of the DBM-150 Bookletmaker, the DFS-1500 provides an all-in-one solution for full-bleed bookletmaking. Equipped with the Isaberg Rapid Stapler and staple cartridge, the DBM-150 Bookletmaker produces high quality, stapled applications. Each cartridge holds 5,000 staples and wear parts are replaced each time the cartridge is changed out.

Other systems on display include the 500i Duetto Booklet System, the 500Pro Digital Booklet System with the SCC Slit/Cut/Crease unit, the 350C Booklet System, and the 350 Digital Booklet System. 

DIE CUTTER

See the UD-300 On Demand Die Cutter produce a variety of custom-shaped pieces, retail packages, labels, and folded boxes on demand. Designed for use with flexible dies, the UD-300 performs multiple cuts, slits, slit-scores, kiss cuts, perforations, and window punches on a range of paper stock up to 14” x 20” at 3,000 sheets per hour. Compact in size and easy to use, the UD-300 Die Cutter provides a cost-efficient solution with fast die changeover and set up times – making it a great solution for the graphic arts and packaging market. 

The new, optional Separator and Conveyor Unit automatically removes the waste of each sheet. The photo-eye sensor ensures only the finished pieces are neatly stacked onto the conveyor for faster productivity. 

PERFECT BINDERS 

Showcasing in the perfect binding area will be the new pfiBIND2000 PUR Perfect Binder. The pfiBIND2000 PUR is the world's smallest PUR perfect binder designed for short-run production. With a speed of up to 290 cycles per hour, the single-clamp pfiBIND2000 features a user-friendly color LCD touchscreen and a closed-tank patented Orbital PUR system that provides accurate glue application on the spine and the side.  

The KB-4000 PUR, DPB-500, and DB-280 Perfect Binders will also be on display. 

UV COATERS

The Ultra 300A UV Coater with the SF-200 PLUS Suction Feeder and the new, short volume Ultra 100 Pro UV Coater will be demonstrated as well. The Ultra 300A applies a smear-free gloss, satin or matte finish to offset and digitally printed documents at high speeds of up to 148 feet per minute. The Ultra 300A is fully connectable in-line with any HP Indigo 7x00 digital press or can be connected to other digital printers via a bridge unit. The Ultra 300A accommodates the output speed from most digital presses and processes a variety of paper sizes, from 8.5" x 11" to 20" x 28", up to 350 gsm. 

A number of other products will be on the floor including the new DP-F510 Digital Duplicator, the CC-330 and CC-228 Card Cutters, and the 660 Pro Hydraulic Cutter. Visitors looking for folding solutions will also have the opportunity to see the DF-1200, DF-980, and DF-970 Tabletop Folders as well as the CF-375 Touchline for high-speed creasing and folding and the CP-375 Touchline for high-speed creasing and perforating.
