Avery Dennison Adds New Digital Window Perforated Films and Overlaminates

Press release from the issuing company

Mentor, Ohio – Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions today introduced two new window perforated films, and three new overlaminates into its digital portfolio, rounding out a robust offering for outdoor, indoor and vehicle graphics.

MPI 3529 and MPI 3729 join the Avery Dennison MPI Perforated Window Series films. The MPI Perforated Window Series allows window surfaces to display printed graphics, without completely restricting vision.

“With the addition of MPI 3529 and MPI 3729, Avery Dennison window perforated films now print across all platforms, including latex,” said Tom Driscoll, product manager, Graphics Solutions at Avery Dennison. “Customers have the ease of buying all their films from one company, and one brand, limiting worry and hassle.”

MPI 3529 is a solvent, eco solvent, UV and latex printable film with durability of 2 years unprinted, and 1 year printed. It has a matte finish, removable adhesive with opaque/block out capabilities, and a 50/50 ratio. MPI 3529 features a 50/50 perforation pattern that is intended for promotional vehicle applications, like transit buses or fleet vehicles, where increased visibility from the interior is required.

MPI 3729 can also be used with all printing platforms, including latex. The film is intended for POP, tradeshow, and other flat window applications. MPI 3729 has a 60/40 perforation pattern, providing the best possible image quality while maintaining one-way visibility on stationary windows, like promotional window decals.

All Avery Dennison perforated window films, including MPI 3529 and MPI 3729, can be paired with Avery Dennison’s newest digital overlaminate, DOL 6560. DOL 6560 is Avery Dennison’s thinnest digital overlaminate to date, at 1 mil. The film provides good scratch-resistance, increased vibrancy and durability, and is recommended for shorter-term applications.

“In addition to the new window perforated films and DOL 6560, Avery Dennison is announcing two additional digital overlaminates, DOL 6960 and DOL 6460,” said Driscoll. “The entire Avery Dennison portfolio is growing, to cover all of our customers needs.”

DOL 6460 is a gloss overlaminate providing up to 2 years durability for printed graphics films in horizontal applications and 4-5 years durability in vertical applications. DOL 6460 is compatible with Avery Dennison’s MPI 1000, 2000, and 3000 digital series. DOL 6960 provides a more robust film protection from the environment, at 2 mil thick. The film is ideal for applications requiring additional scratch and chemical resistance.
