Press release from the issuing company

Mechanicsburg, PA - Fry Communications recently won eight Gold Ink Awards in the 27th Annual Gold Ink Awards Competition. Fry won one Gold, one Silver, two Bronze, and four Pewter Awards.

The Gold Award winner, in the Magazine Insert category, is an 8-page tabloid-sized tip piece. The Starz “Taking You Places” insert, produced by NewBay Media for inclusion in Multichannel News, features a stunning combination of rich four-color printing with foil, gloss, and dull UV coatings throughout the piece.

The Watches supplement to The Hollywood Reporter, published by Prometheus Global Media, earned Silver in the Web Trade Magazines category.

The Regent/Seven Seas 2015 Summer Collection brochure, published by Prestige Cruise Holdings, earned Bronze in the Web Brochures category. The Cico Books Spring 2014 Catalog, published by Ryland, Peters, & Small, earned Bronze in the Web Business Catalogs category.

Fry also received four Pewter Awards for the following pieces: the Oklahoma Travel Guide, published by the Oklahoma Department of Tourism and Recreation, in the Web Brochures category; the Style.com Fall 2013 issue, published by the Fairchild Publications Division of Condé Nast, in the Web Specialty Magazines category; the Billboard 2013 Artist of the Year issue, published by Prometheus Global Media, in the Web Trade Magazines category; and the No Worries Journal – 15 Years of Downunder Horsemanship, published by Downunder Horsemanship, in the Web Trade Magazines category.

“We are thrilled to continue our tradition of printing excellence,” said Mike Lukas, CEO of Fry. “We appreciate our customers who put their trust in our teams, as well as our dedicated production teams who consistently produce top-shelf pieces.”

This year’s Gold Ink Award winners were chosen from nearly 1000 entries submitted within nearly 50 different categories. Winning pieces surpassed their competitors based on print quality, technical difficulty and overall visual effect. A panel of distinguished graphic arts professionals judged entries over the course of four days. Winners will be honored during GraphExpo in October.

Presented by Printing Impressions magazine and sponsored by Canon, Fujifilm and Konica Minolta, the Gold Ink Award winners will be honored during GRAPH EXPO 14 in Chicago at the end of September.
