Phoenix Graphics Installs KODAK NEXPRESS Press, Building on Long-term Partnership

Press release from the issuing company

Addition of digital press expands printer’s services and customer base

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Phoenix Graphics, a Rochester-based commercial printer and user of KODAK Solutions for over 25 years, has now installed a KODAK NEXPRESS SX3900 Digital Production Color Press. The NEXPRESS Press enables the team at Phoenix Graphics to expand the breadth of their portfolio as they transform their operations to include both digital and offset offerings.

Phoenix Graphics will use the NEXPRESS Press, in part, to support its market share of optical scan ballot printing for statewide elections, as it supplies over 70% of election ballots used annually in New York State. The installation of the NEXPRESS Press will also support Phoenix Graphics’ other commercial high-quality digital color print applications as well, such as digital storefront and direct mail. Given the very technical nature of the processes, Phoenix Graphics requires the highest level of equipment available. This is the latest development in a strong and lengthy partnership between Kodak and Phoenix Graphics, which has already taken advantage of 10 KODAK DIGIMASTER EX300 Digital Production Presses, KODAK PRINERGY Workflow Solutions and KODAK SWORD EXCEL Thermal Plates.

“The KODAK NEXPRESS SX Platform is a game-changer for Phoenix Graphics,” said Sal DeBiase, President, Phoenix Graphics. “We are supporting our customers with the latest technology: a robust and versatile digital print solution that offers significant gains in image quality. Our new NEXPRESS Press provides a cost-effective solution for any business’ marketing campaign, regardless of its size.”

“The NEXPRESS Press will allow the team at Phoenix Graphics to not only produce new revenue streams, but also strengthen their relationships with customers across a variety of industries, from medicine to higher education to retail,” said Greg Gresock, Regional Business Manager & Vice President, Electrophotographic Printing Solutions, US&C, Eastman Kodak Company. “By taking advantage of variable data printing to develop highly effective and targeted materials, Phoenix Graphics will be able to help its customers drive higher response rates and increase sales. We look forward to working closely with Phoenix Graphics on this new installation as we deepen the longstanding relationship between our companies.”
