Press release from the issuing company

SUSSEX, Wis.--April 19, 2004-- Quad/Graphics - North America's second-largest catalog printer - has been awarded a multi-year, $30 million contract from Potpourri Group, Inc., a major national cataloger with a portfolio of 11 titles, including flagship catalog Potpourri and Young Explorers, a children's toy and gifts title the company acquired on March 30. Annually, the web offset presses at Quad/Graphics' Hartford, Wis., plant will print more than 100 million catalogs - including orderforms - for distribution to Potpourri's customers nationwide. The company's other catalog properties include Back in the Saddle, Serengeti, The Pyramid Collection, Nature's Jewelry, Expressions, Catalog Favorites, NorthStyle, In the Company of Dogs and The Stitchery. "One of the biggest reasons why we selected Quad as our partner is its ability to support our multi-title strategy and our growth," said Robert Webb, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Potpourri. "During the proposal process Quad demonstrated that it understood our business and can deliver the quality and efficiency we need. They possess the flexibility in printing and binding and the distribution capacity to meet our requirements today and in the future. Quad's team approach and state-of-the-art technology are a great fit for our company, and we are confident that they can help us manage our complex printing and mailing programs." "We are excited to extend our high-tech, high-quality manufacturing platform to Potpourri's expansive collection of catalogs," said Thomas A. Quadracci, President & CEO of Quad/Graphics. "With our technology, we stand ready to partner with Potpourri as it continues to grow its business." Quad/Graphics' Hartford plant, which opened in 1992, is located approximately 35 miles north of Milwaukee, measures more than 1 million square feet and employs nearly 1,000 people.
