New ROLAND 900 Investing in the future is important for Danish print company

Press release from the issuing company

Denmark-based Laursen Grafisk A/S recently placed an order for a five-color ROLAND 900 HiPrint with coating module as part of its latest expansion plan.

With its impressive 200 year history, this Danish printing company continues to embrace new technology and keep up with the latest trends. Founded in 1813, the business has been owned by the Laursen family since 1930. In 2002 Mr. Niels Laursen was appointed CEO and today the company continues to flourish and with the help of ROLAND presses. They purchased their first ROLAND 905-6 LV in 2002, three years later a ROLAND 704 PLV followed by a ROLAND 906-6 LV in 2006 and a ROLAND 705 LV in 2010.

The new ROLAND 905-6 LV will be delivered in August incorporating all the latest features and functions.

“ROLAND presses have played an important role in our development,” Mr. Laursen said. “We are looking forward to using the new ROLAND 900 which will help us meet the new challenges we face.”

Laursen Grafisk A/S handles a wide range of products including packaging and display material. The new generation features on this latest ROLAND 900 model means their skilled operators will be the first to experience simultaneous plate loading, all with the support of Manroland Sheetfed technicians.

Laursen Grafisk is confident the InlineColorPilot will help reduce waste and cost while keeping a stable quality during production. At the same time, they are also investing in their new production facilities and Manroland Sheetfed has been involved in the planning and layout of future production as well as moving existing equipment. “The cooperation is very positive,’’ Mr. Laursen said, adding he was impressed with Manroland Sheetfed’s responsive service and the technical expertise of its staff.

This print company believes the new press and higher product quality and reduced cost, will increase its business sending a strong signal to the market and to its own workers. They are determined to grow further and evolve; investing in the future and preserving local jobs is very important to Laursen Grafisk A/S.

“We are delighted to be co-operating with Laursen Grafisk on this important project. Their trust in Manroland motivates us to provide all the services they need to help them grow,” said Mr. Björn Gustafsson, Managing Director of Manroland Nordic Sweden/Denmark.
