Maestro Completes Major Catalog Project for Canadian Firm

Press release from the issuing company

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. -- Maestro Media Print Solutions LLC, a Michigan-based print management company, has completed a complex catalog project for Independent Distributors Inc. (IDI), a Canadian cooperative serving independent suppliers of industrial supplies and maintenance products throughout Canada.

The 2,200-page catalog is designed to help IDI’s locally based member companies compete with larger multi-national chains. Maestro managed development of IDI’s comprehensive print program and produced 33,500 copies of the catalog in both English and French. Participating member companies are receiving their catalogs with personalized covers and insert pages as well.

IDI is a business group of Canadian industrial product distributors who are working to remain independent in a rapidly changing marketplace. The group consists of more than 95 member companies in more than 275 locations across Canada with a total of nearly 3,000 employees and sales in excess of $1 billion.

IDI’s inter-member marketing programs include volume purchasing, inventory exchange, cataloging and special promotions. Its member companies specialize in industrial supplies, bearing and power transmission products, safety supplies, fluid power products and janitorial supplies. The IDI catalog’s electronic database will serve as the foundation for future marketing and distribution programs.

“Maestro has produced a quality catalog that will be a tremendous resource for our members throughout Canada,” says Stacy Windsor-Leonard, IDI’s database manager, who worked on the project along with IDI Vice President John Morrison, who added that the new catalog underlines the important role IDI distributors play as suppliers of quality products and services.

“Maestro adopted a comprehensive strategy to prepare IDI files for production, proofing more than 4,000 pages and producing the entire catalog on an extremely tight schedule,” notes Tom Donnellon, Maestro Founder and CMO. “It was a very demanding project, which we were able to execute to IDI’s complete satisfaction.”

Maestro’s comprehensive and proprietary print-management processes provide for cost effective and integrated planning, creation, production and distribution of printed materials.  Maestro is able to synchronize all aspects of strategic analysis, media, print, paper, postage, logistics and supply-chain management. Their web-based software also enables customers to remain in full control of the print procurement process.
