Totalpost provides new mailroom equipment for Lloyds

Press release from the issuing company

Totalpost Services Plc has installed a state-of-the-art mailroom folder inserter into the Gloucester mailroom processing branch of the Lloyds Banking Group.

Here the eight strong team process outgoing mail and handle approximately 10,000 to 12,000 items of mail a day. These are individual mailouts to customers rather than bulk mailings and often include leaflets, information booklets and business reply envelopes.

The team already use a number of folder inserter devices but this one, a Neopost DS-90, has a number of added features. It has one large feeder tray rather than two smaller ones meaning items can be double stacked for a more efficient process.

Additionally there are a number of optional additional feeders that allow for the easy handling of coated papers and thicker booklets.

Speaking about the device, Richard Jarratt, AM Supervisor says: “The ability to process thick booklets via the new optional integrated feeder is of great value to us as we send out a lot of booklets and previous machines haven’t been able to handle them. The machines is flexible and handles varied items such as this with ease.

“As always the Totalpost team were very helpful and whole process from order through to installation and training has gone extremely well.”

Speaking about the order, David Hymers, Managing Director at Totalpost says: “Our mailroom technicians pride themselves at being at the forefront of the technologies in their field. We were delighted to be able to provide Lloyds with a new folder inserter to help them process their outgoing mail in a more efficient manner.”
