Wide Format Printing, Displays and Finishing Show kicks off at Sandown Park, July 8th-9th 

Roland DG (UK) will be making it easier for busy printers, sign-makers and studios to discover the business benefits of its world-leading print and cut technology by participating in a series of roadshows running over the next year. Organised by Newtech under the banner of The Wide Format Printing, Displays and Finishing Show, the first stop will be Sandown Park in Esher, Surrey, with an afternoon and evening session on Tuesday 8th July from 3pm to 9pm and a morning session from 8am to 2pm on Wednesday 9th July.

The roadshow will see Roland showcase two of its wide format inkjet printer/cutters: its flagship SOLJET PRO4 XR-640 and the world’s bestselling VersaCAMM VS-i series. If versatility and flexibility pave the path to new business opportunities, then these two machines are the way forward for printers looking to open up new market sectors with a range of outdoor and indoor applications. Joining the print and cut machines on the Roland stand at Sandown Park will be Roland’s VersaUV LEF-20 desktop flatbed printer. The LEF-20 prints onto virtually any object and any substrate up to 100mm thick, turning plain objects into highly profitable personalised items - perfect for creating souvenirs, novelty goods, giftware, consumer items, industrial parts or packaging prototypes.

“Screen printing and pad printing are traditional methods for personalising and customising gifts and other products and these technologies are suited to large production runs. However there has been a growing demand for shorter runs and this is where digital printers, such as the Roland VersaUV LEF-20, can really add value,” says Brett.
